| Blood donation camps: |
|
UAE requires around 25-30 thousand
units of blood annually to meet the local
needs of blood in various hospitals and
the Government meets this requirement from
voluntary donors in the country. We have
been supporting this noble cause since 1996
through various projects. Our first contribution
was production of 25,000 booklets at our
companys cost, inviting people to
become donors. The booklet contained all
the useful information for the donors and
the same was distributed all over UAE free
of charge. We have been also holding Blood
donation camps outside our branches every
year since 1996. Thousands of donors including
our staff members had donated blood through
these camps. In recognition of our services
towards the Governments drive to encourage
people to donate blood , we were awarded
a Recognition Award by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan
Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Deputy Ruler
of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and
Industry in 1999. |
